Every Athlete has a Story to Tell.
Too often, we determine success and failure by the many plaques, medals, and ribbons on our shelves––or the lack of them.
But, if awards are the true standard, then what is the value of being excited about your teammate’s win when a broken foot has stolen your own season? Or what about when you’ve poured your heart into your teammates and training but never earned the right to compete at tournament meets?
Accolades, pictures, and statistics only highlight your story, while your journey is found in the friendships forged, the life lessons learned, and the character you've grown.

But those details won't stay crisp forever.
It's important to preserve your memories time will inevitably fade. Why wait until you forget your story?

The Athlete's Memory Book helps coaches, parents, and athletes pause amidst the busyness of life to celebrate sports and character achievements in a way no sports award ever will. Through strategic interview questions, memories are captured in a keepsake book so the life lessons learned and the friendships forged will never be lost.
Testimonials of Former Clients
"I’ve realized over time that our memories fade more than we want to admit. We get caught up in the busyness of today, and rarely take much time to reflect on those really important moments in life. As a result, we don’t enjoy the great memories enough, and the life lessons fade into the past.

It was a sense of joy holding this book, reading, and reliving the season. It was also a sense of relief that these memories, stories, and insights are preserved in such a beautiful way.

I know I can open that book anytime to enjoy them again!"

Testimonials of Former Clients
"It was wonderful holding this book for the first time. I truly was so glad to have been able to have everything in one spot, stated beautifully, and laid out in neat and orderly fashion. I love reading through it and thinking through all of the things that I had felt then and how I feel about those things now.
I loved working with Hannah the whole time to make this book. She worked so well alongside me and my mom to make sure it was just the way we wanted it, and it was! She interpreted many of the things I said into the feelings I was having, and I could tell how much she really cared to have the book be the best it could be for my personal appeals."

My Story:
My ninth grade year of cross country ended sixteen seconds shy of the last State qualification place––and I promised myself it wouldn’t happen again.
Little did I know my sophomore season wouldn’t play out the way I had dreamed. Minor hip pain in September progressed into an agonizing reality as the weeks rolled on.

I wouldn’t make it to State.

I wouldn’t even make it to Regionals.

But the piece that cut deepest was losing my three-year streak as the fastest girl on the team.

Running was my identity. So was success.

I remember sorting certificates for my dad (the head coach) before the end-of-year awards ceremony and finding only two with my name on them. It hurt––because they didn’t represent the season I should have had.

And I've realized they’re a miniscule fraction of the season that actually occurred.
In twenty years, my certificates, medals, and plaques won’t tell my kids how I had to pick myself up piece by piece to compete my junior year.
They won’t tell them how I battled the fear of injuring myself again on every single run, or the doubts that I could never be the “success” I was during my freshman season.

They won’t tell them that, had God not allowed me to be broken, my pride likely would’ve taken me on a much different route in life where I wouldn't be as sensitive to the desires and struggles of others.

But that story exists. And I’m a different person because of it.

There are so many parts of that season I wish I could remember. There’s incredible beauty I’ve realized in looking back, and I know there’s so much I’m still missing.

But that’s why I created The Athlete’s Memory Book.
Life is a journey. It’s often a struggle.

Yet, there are people who’ve walked alongside each of us. There are life lessons we’ve learned and character that’s been grown that shape who we are today.
There’s beauty––and I want to help young people recognize and remember that truth wherever life takes them next.
Testimonials of Former Clients
"Through Hannah’s interview questions, I was able to reminisce fond memories I’d forgotten. It was a really special moment to read through it with my mom and dad. I’m really glad to have a book of my memories and pictures so I don’t forget the friendships I made, the lessons I learned, and the ways God worked in my life."

Here’s Why You Can Trust Me with Your Story
"The interview was very effective at jogging memories, understanding what was important to us, and capturing larger themes we didn’t always notice ourselves. I appreciated Hannah’s deep understanding of the heart and mind of an athlete, and her ability to see God’s hand at work.
I also really appreciated her desire to let the story unfold. She never tried to script or embellish anything.

When my son read the book, he said 'I feel like I’m right there living it all over again. How awesome!'

The review process was phenomenal! I loved the collaboration, and commitment to tweaking things and getting them just right. The thing that stood out to me was just how much Hannah cared.

This is a labor of love for her, and each customer benefits with an end product that is truly remarkable!"

Your book will be crafted with excellence by a professional writer who loves all things story.
From conducting research about an athlete’s competitions to crafting tailored interview questions to fleshing out your story with vivid details, I maximize the interview, writing, and formatting stages to give you a memory book that shines.
I also work efficiently to minimize wait time between revision stages, so you receive the hardcopy version of your memory book as soon as possible.
The whole process is straightforward and easy.
Talking to someone you just met about any stage of life can be difficult, but memorializing an athlete’s story is more than a job to me. It’s an avenue to help athletes feel heard, while also encouraging and challenging them to continue striving forward with diligence.

Having transitioned from athlete to coach to writer myself, I seek to build rapport with my clients, understand their journey, and dig into the “why” behind the “what” to ensure accurate portrayal during the writing process.
You tell your story, and I take it from there.
Your story will be memorable, engaging, and accurate.
Starting from the interview stage, I use a three-fold understanding of coaching, racing, and creative writing to develop questions that dig below the surface and unveil your journey in ways you might not have formerly considered.
As I enter the writing stage, my experience with character arcs, creation of suspense, development of setting, and progression of theme––among other craft elements––combines fully as I shape your story into an engaging read you’ll come back to time and again, all the while staying true to the facts.
I memorialize the story you want to tell.
I foster an atmosphere of engagement and adaptation so we delve deep into the areas of your story that you want.

Through two collaborative revision processes during the writing and formatting stages, I give you hands-on access to your project and walk with you through edits, so you can finalize a memory book you’re proud to one day pass on to another generation.
Testimonials of Former Clients
"I was really excited to memorialize such an important season in a tangible, beautiful way that ensured we’d enjoy it for years to come.
A year from now you won’t even notice the cost of the book, but you’ll have a priceless keepsake. We spend a lot of money on a lot of things with little long-term value. This is so different. Make the short term sacrifice. You’ll be glad you did!"
